Re: .222 Load with 1-14 twist?
Lowndsie I use the 55gn Sierra roo projies as already mentioned and Nosler Shot's in 55gn as well out of both my 1/14 222's and they shoot like stink.
I'm using BM1 or Reloader 7 with sub 1/2 MOA accurracy.
I found I needed to drive them pretty fast to get the best out of them, YMMV.

Re: Mixed cases...your opinion
Mate I weighed some 222 cases of different brands and found up to 10 grains difference in weight, that's in a case that weights in around 95 grains, so more then 10% difference. To me a 10% difference in capacity translates into big differences downrange. And that is why I switched to Lapua brass, 0...
Re: New stock
Nice Brad!!
Mine has been used by the kids a couple of times, still at the 120 grit sanding stage so you're not the only one to turn up with a half finished stock!
Keep the pics coming, I'd love to see one with the "trigger guard" in place.

Re: New stock
Looks good Brad, what mill have you got mate? I'm tossing up between an X3 and a Hafco HM46, I've seen more on CNC for the X3 but I think the Hafco looks like a better machine overall.

Re: Laminate wood
Will take a look at it mate cheers. Do they chip the wood at all running across the laminate layers? Nope, and if you go nice and "gentle" with it you'll get a surface that almost looks like it was done with a plane. I highly recommend having a play first because they cut on every surface...

Re: Winchester 320 clean-up
Ah, the 320's seem to be coming out of the woodwork lately, I had never heard of them until I picked this little beauty up recently at the right price, and out of a collector only licensee, unfired.
Interesting scope on it, total POS, but interesting just the same.
It shoots like stink too
