Re: Zero tech Thrive HD
Thanks mate. She’s a fighter. Oncologist believes there is little to no chance of it returning after the precautions that we’ve taken. So onwards and upwards.

Re: Zero tech Thrive HD
Not as yet. $$$ are a bit thin atm Wife has been fighting cancer for the last year she’s got it beaten and when she gets back to work probably next year I’ll be able to sort out some of my wants instead of needs [emoji51] I’ll give the feed back when I do organise something. Zero tech Thrive HD
Hi fellas just wondering if anyone had any real world experience with Zerotech scopes ?
Thinking about buying a .204 ruger and was toying with the idea of using the Thrive HD 6-24x50 version for foxes.

Re: .300 win mag
When I enter the details into a ballistics calculator the 1-12 isn’t as stable as the 1-10 should be.

Re: .300 win mag
Ok so I’m using Norma brass which was 178’s factory and thought that the Hornady ELD-X 178 should be ok however I’ve just noticed that on the bottom of the box they say 1-12 twist [emoji15][emoji849] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180807/5f3b068adf31ea24f7262c5b2c227eac.jpg https://uploads.tapat...

Re: .300 win mag
Want it for camels , pigs and deer. The 178gr seem to be not quite heavy enough I think.

.300 win mag
Hi Ausvarminters it’s been a while.
Got a 26” barrel 1-10 twist Remington 700 LR what would be a good starting point for a bullet weight for this calibre ? It seemed to like Factory Norma 178grs but not so with 178 gr Hornady ELD-X hand loads.
Thoughts ?

Scope flip up covers
Looking for some NF ones for my NXS 56 obj and SHV 56 objective where would be the best place to look here in Aus ? I've checked out a couple of U.S. sites but none seem to want to post them out.

Re: Prefered scope and why
On my .243 ai I've just swapped over to a SHV 5-25x56 illum ihr reticle which I think will be ok. And I've got my NXS 5.5-25x56 MOART illuminated reticle to place on my .300 winmag when the rail and rings arrive. Really enjoyed using the NXS on the .243 cause with the fine cross in the Centre and il...

Re: .357 rifle
If he is using H110 stick with it, should give at least 100fps more than 2205. What size pigs? Ive shot hundreds with 357 and it is marginal on bigger animals, sometimes it will drop them on the spot others will travel a fair distance..
