Re: Just picked it up/ who needs load development
In my opinion some risks has been taken, you'll get away with it sometimes BUT not always, I would never flute a delivered button barrel.

Re: LRP Solutions
Hi Guys The Bordens aren't cheap so stocking a lot of them isn't really an option, but the delivery times are reasonable 3-6 months and they do actually stick to delivery time frames, ATM the only action that isn't sold on the current order which should be here in 5-6 weeks is RH repeater short acti...

Re: Omark actions
Dave It's a reasonable action for the dollars, primary extraction is a problem as they were never designed with reloading in mind, make sure it has an adaptor already fitted as fitting an adapator blows the budget so to speak, a jewell trigger can be fitted but Davies are more common, most Omarks ar...

Yes through the headstock, IMO it's the best way but many winning barrels have been done in a steady, I just prefer where possible to do it through the headstock.

Look at the AL960B, single phase and all the features you'll need. One thing make sure what ever you buy has and imperial lead screw, cutting imperial threads with a metric lead screw is PITA.

Re: LRP Solutions
DSD Time frames depend on the type of work required and work load at the time but as a guide rebarrels 1-2 weeks once parts received (normally a week), complete rifles can take a while, biggest issue is getting all the bits required, especially if parts needed out of the US, for example Kreiger, Bar...

Re: 7mm [.284] or 6.5x47L ?
For the longs (in F Class) the 284 is hard to beat, I would suggest 180 VLD's or Hybrid. I would also suggest not trying to run it flat out like some seem to do. I recently fitted a 8.5 twist Kreiger for a customer and boy does it shoot. But if you're looking for a 300 -1000 and not shooting the lon...

One issue you may have is Steyer's have the barrel pressed into the action, not the easiest thing to change barrels on.

The one that pisses me off is the "If it's not in the rule book it's illegal". I've had the National CRO pull that one !!!!!!!
