Re: Scope wanted from Optic Zone

I bought them from the Optic zone. They were the same price at Cabelas but the postage was cheaper from the optic zone. They cost me about AU$136 each by the time I got them here.

Re: Reloading shotshells

I have small Lee loader. Had it for 23 years. Have loaded thousands of shells over the years. Its a slow process. 200 a month is a lot of time at the bench. It is easy and if the time is not an issue go for it. I cannot tell you about cost these days as I load lead shot Ive had for decades and they ...

Re: Lyman Crusher II Pro Kit or RCBS Partner Kit

I have the Lyman kit. I have had no problems with it at all. The extras I bought was the powder thrower. I also bought some jewelers scales off ebay for 30 bucks. The balance scales are too slow when using a thrower.

Re: Scope wanted from Optic Zone

I bought a couple of Sightron S1 3-9x40's for the kids 22's. They are pretty good to look through. The only other scopes I have to compare to are Leopold VX2's.

Re: 223 relaod help....

I load 40 grain Hornady ballistic tips using 26 grains of BM1. For my brothers Weatherby vanguard Stainless. It shoots well with this load. He has pulled off some impressive long shots with it as well. So accuracy is good enough for small game.

Re: 223 relaod help....

50 grain Highland soft points with 26.5 BM2. Was using the Nosler balistic tips but found the soft points did the same job for me.

Re: My new project, help please!!!

I have a Tikka 223 std profile. I use it for shooting foxes and rabbits. Its a great gun out of the box. If your looking at customizing get something with a short action as Tikka has the "one size fits all". I don't mind the long action but as I get a bit more financial I will buy the Sako...

Re: Gun Safe

I bought one from a guy in Endevour Hills a couple of years back. It hold my 7 guns ok. Hes a sheet metal worker. There was a size bigger than mine as well. It has 2 locks on the front that fold in flush and has an ammo box in the top inside with a separate key. The cops thought it was more than sat...

Re: Tight Arse Gun Safe

When the police came to look at mine all they did was grab it and tried to move it, it didn't of course.. I have an upright on wit 2 big screws into the stud wall and 1 dynabolt into the floor. It doesn't budge at all. Police were happy with it. Yours dynabolted to the floor would be fine I reckon. ...

I shoot foxes as my primary choice of game. I started with a 243 and loaded Ballistic tips in 55grain. Bloody awesomely devastatingly fantastic results. I have used 80gr soft point, 80gr power lokts, 70gr ballistic tips and 75 grain Vmax. I love using the 55 grainers. They kill, gut and skin in one ...

I use a lyman thrower. I find with the 2206 it throws very consistantly. With the 2209 I find it hangs occasionally. Still its within .2gns on the 2209 and usually .1 with the 2208 and 2206. I still weigh nearly every one of them on the electronic scales to be sure. I would not be with out it.

My brother has a Wby Vanguard in 223 rem SS Timber stock. It shoots real good. Its a lot heavier than my T3 Lite and T3 Hunter but we mostly use his out spotlighting anyway. He likes it a lot which is all that matters. A fellow I shoot with occasionally has a Howa blue synthetic in 22-250. He loves ...
