So what really constitutes a "scout rifle".
I have no idea, if I did have any guess. It sure as shit wouldn't look like any of those being marketed as one.
I know Scouts, and they don't use firearms like these.

Re: Anyone have an open export licence with McMillan?
Apologies for my previous post. If I led someone into illegal activity then I am greatly sorry.
I am embarrassed for my ignorance.

Re: Anyone have an open export licence with McMillan?
Some lads have told me of usabox I think it is. It's a U.S. Po box holding facility so you get your stock sent there, then they send it on to you. I checked it out and set up an account. A colleague has had heaps of stuff shipped via this joint. They even hold your gear till you get enough together ...

Re: Illuminated Reticle
I have an illuminated reticle and love it. I use it quite often. On steel, with darker paint or an overcast day, I turn it on ever so slightly so I can place the crosshair easily. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with my eyes. Having said that, it is not the full reticle that is illuminated, ju...

I went and checked out camera land by but they adamantly stated they do not ship scopes outside the U.S?
How did you guys get around that?
Thanks
Dave

Chappo,
Thanks for the direction, I couldn't find the 20moa rail but the straight rail will do fine.

sako p94s
Hi all, I have been very fond of these sako 22's and finally picked one up. Excellent condition, perfect wood, nice heavy barrel with threaded muzzle, had very little work by the original owner. I am still yet to get my hands on it but I thought I'd just see if anyone has had any experience with one...

Re: Very Impressive
So that is blunt MARKETING, In the 40's it was known as propaganda. I've seen REM barrells that could have grown potatoes in the pock marks and divets in the barrell and for all intents and purposes SHOULD never have shot well........ But guess what, A Remington 700 VS, 14 years old grouped 3/8 inch...

Re: Leupold Vs 338 Lap
Yeah, it's not looking good, i have to sell a rifle i never took home as I may not get a permit to acquire approved. Apparently anything 30 cal and up is undergoing investigation and further information required with permit to acquire. (a lot of information.) I have just been through all of that and...

Re: Changing Barrels (Rem700)
I've noticed a few threads about buiding "switch" barrel set ups, but I'm wondering, how many of you do it (switch barrels)? and what is the actual process from go to whoa? Do you need/recommend a basic or full true of action and barrel tenon before hand? How do you switch the barrels? Al...

Re: Permit to Acquire, Rejected?
yep,
(large feral animals) doesn't work. Another fellow just got rejected for an MLR.
Where does it say we are not allowed to have them?
I have to re-barrel it as a re-chambering won't work, nothing is as wide as a Lapua Mag. And I'm not interested in having a 22 inch 338 Edge barrel.
