Re: what cal for blr ?
I have a BLR 308, that is my walking scrub rifle, I run 150 grain round nose Hornady projectiles. The 5 in the mag can do a couple trips in and out of the mag and anything with a point gets bashed about pretty well, but the round nose stay perfect. Plus I have pushed them through lignum bushes to ge...

Brett, tell me about your machines. I'm looking at investing 10k into a personal workshop. Hi Andrew, As I said I am not a smith, and my workshop is very basic and very limited in what I can do. I have an old German Enetrprise Lathe with a 75mm bore, which is 23" through the head stock, All wo...

I am no Smith, I have done some pipe fitting, but am neck deep in importing stuff, and it is slow, real slow at the moment. If you boys think the Aussie guys are slow try getting stuff out of the USA, I am connected and have Mates time lines at 1 barrel maker and it is still at least a 8 to 12 week ...

Re: A re-think on Rimfire shooting.
Hi Native. Nice Vent, just some observations on your post which I mostly agree with. Gear is expensive, we are getting very close to the cost od CF shooters but I find RF's more fun, maybe I am crazy. With the Au$ being so good at the moment gear is becomming cheaper, but still big dollars, I am luc...

Re: Rimfire Super shoot 2012
Brett Sounds like a good match but its the week after world championships in Brisbane and the same weekend as the NSW IRB. After the WC I think a few of us might stay at home the long weekend. Re: Rimfire Super shoot 2012
Thanks Chris, All that info helps a great deal, and only other info I need is about sighting on the fly. I run a 36X weaver, do you guys need a extra spotting scope, or a person spotting for you? I asume you use your 3 sighters on the plate to estimate a hold off then 5 scoreing. There is a fine lin...

Re: Rimfire barrel tuners ??
Wow Bec, that is great and thanks for the mention. I wish I had the time and effort to dedicate to that sort of production. I have spent 2 sessions on the new Falcon, the first day I shot 5 shot groups 1 shot every 5 clicks so 1 group = 1 full turn of the tunner. Went through the whole range. Found ...
