Re: 40gr Hornady
I think i undestand but please correct me if im wrong, you are refering to the tapered section at the base as the ogive and the larger the ogive the deeper the projectile needs to be seated, so the projectile area touching the side of the case is what is important and should remain consistant.

Re: 40gr Hornady
I use them predominantly. My 204 has a 1 in 10 and it shoots the 39bks and 40 vms equally well ver the same charge but the seating depth varies as the ogive is at a differnt spot on these two pills Do you seat the Sierras or the Hornadys deeper Trevort, due to my lack of experience im not sure what...

40gr Hornady
I was given a pack of 40gr Hornady projectiles to shoot in my 204 so was after some advice on how people load these up. At this stage im not even sure if the Sako with the 1:12 twist will group them. I have only put 39gr BK's through it so not sure if i use the same formula or whether something diff...

Re: 204 group confusion.
Thanks for the feedback guys, grumpy i see your point and am going to reshoot some of the better grouping loads from a bench and see how they come up. You are spot on with what you say about changing position and not getting back in the same spot, i know this for a fact was the case with the 28.8gr ...

Re: 204 group confusion.
Louie scope is a NSX 5.5-20x50 and i am shooting off a rug laid out on the floor, rifle is on a bipod with sand bags. From what i read i expeced better results with the 2206H. Perhaps i should look at getting the rifle bedded by a gunsmith. I will load up some more loads with a little more powder an...

204 group confusion.
I went out on the weekend and fired my 2206H reloads, results were all over the place. Not sure if someone can help or offer some advice on what i may be doing wrong. I have also added pics of my 2208 groups so people dont have to go over my old post. http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd138/Draftyp...

5th shot was driver error, new it when i pulled the trigger i guess thats why they say do 5, it allows for hopeless shooters like me.
