Rechamber it to AI and stoke it up. Don't cut the barrel short.

Re: Meopta

I have an Artemis 2000 3-12x50 - base model Meopta but it is a pretty good scope. Very clear and the bright, good edge to edge definition. No paralax adjustment so not so good for close shots as a little blurry under about 70 metres. Typical Euro style scope - fairly big for focal range, 30mm tube, ...

Re: Imperial & Metric Headaches

It's got me stuffed. Started the changeover while I was still in school with the currency, followed by all the rest over time. Managed to get a grip on the currency but the rest is weird - I still convert km & kmph to miles and still work out fuel consumption in MPG - but I do the conversion it ...

Re: Hornady New Dimension Nexck size die - Broken?

Yeh Dan, Hornady is a great company and they really do make some good stuff. They welcome feedback from their customers and provide a fantastic, broad focus website. They must be doing something right as they have developed so much successful new gear over the past few years as well as providing a p...

Re: Hornady New Dimension Nexck size die - Broken?

There is a bit of a knack to the use of the Hornady neck sizer. Difference between them and most others is that the Hornady is calibre 'general' (the .22 neck sizer will do all the different .22 cartridges and a lot of the wildcats as well, while other brands are cartridge specific and will only do ...

Re: New Winchester Model 70

Have 4 Model 70's Dan, all of them are great shooters. A push feed in .22/250 Ackley, Supergrade Classic in .240Wby Mag, Classic 7mm Rem Mag Stainless and one of the new FN Supergrades in .300 Win Mag. The Extreme Weather is a nice bit of gear and well worth the small asking price when compared with...

Re: Where Are Nightforce scopes made??

In these modern times I really don't think it matters exactly where stuff is made, providing it is produced to the required standards of the final manufacturer - a good example is Nikon, a Japanese manufacturer of top quality optics and cameras. I have several Nikon scopes - all made in the Philippi...

Re: Valuable Lesson (need more help!?!?)

The obvious answer is to take the expander from your neck die and use it in the F/L die. If the problem goes away the expander in the F/L is too big or has a burr or scratch or something. If you still have the same problem it is likely that the F/L die is too tight in the neck section and sizing dow...

Re: Hornady Introduces Superformance Ammunition

Looks good Keith. Hornady are a good progressive Company but if they keep turning out all this flash ammo that they have been coming up with they will turn people off reloading because if you can't match available ammo on the reload bench a lot of the advantages of reloading your own ammo will have ...
