Re: Reloading setup advice
Can't even begin to guess mate - reloading presses alone range from around $100 to over $1000 to buy. You need to get a full list of all the gear, value it and then make an offer. More to the point - ask the guy how much he wants and if you can afford it, and want the stuff he has, buy it.

Re: Leupold Vs 338 Lap
Don't have any trouble with Leupold QR's on my .338/378 or .375 H&H. Nightforce on the .338 and Leupold on the .375. If your Lapua is braked it shouldn't kick much more than a .270 Win anyway.

Re: Drop tube - anyone use one? - any good for compressed loads?
Thanks for the advice HiWall. You don't reckon a drop tube is worthwhile? Sorry mate, may have written that a bit wrong. Was meaning trickle to the side of the funnel with the drop tube in place as well. Don't dump the powder into the funnel as from a powder measure etc, it does need the 'swirl' to...

Re: 308 155gr palma matchkings on game
I really don't understand why people keep asking this question...the answer is clear. NO http://www.sierrabullets.com/index.cfm?section=techservice&page=xring&volume=1&issue=1 We don't recommend it. MatchKing bullets are designed with only one consideration; to produce the most consisten...

Re: Drop tube - anyone use one? - any good for compressed loads?
Just trickle the powder slowly onto the side of the funnel mate. It gives the powder a bit of velocity so it 'bounces' when it hits the stuff already in the case which causes it to pack down a bit more tightly. A light tap on the bench with the case head may help settle it a bit tighter, then just p...

Re: 224 weatherby magnum
Amazing discussion guys - if the .224 Wby Mag is so useless because it performs slightly below the .22/250 & .220 Swift what does that do to your argument that the .243 Winchester is a better choice than the far better performing .240 Wby Magnum??

Re: Reloading under threat
The rumour stems from California and Hollyweird - pack of gun grabbing fagoots who hate guns but love taking it from behind. California (or some organisation based there) tried to promote it a few years ago. From memory the organisation was drumming up a captive market for its 'product'........which...

I love my Chinchester L/A 'coachgun' for shooting pigs - but there is nothing quite like a quality sidelock SxS long gun for rabbits and quail and just about anything else. Makes the heart sing to use a good gun!!!

Re: nikon scopes
Blue Bazooka don't sell Leupold scopes to anybody at all, Leupold have cut off their supply. Sure, they are listed on their website, at the MSRP (the same prices as listed by The Optic Zone), but there is no point listing a product when you hold NO stock. Leupold didn't cut them off because they off...
