How to make a bipod in 2 hours

I posted this to AHN a few minutes ago, but i thought that some of you don't go there, and it might make a start to the 'best post' awards (if someone nominates it), so here is how I made a bipod out of junk laying around at dads place. I used the following materials: 15mm box section for legs (to l...

Congrats

I just wanted to say, congratulations to the moderators and to the members of this forum, in recent times it has just exploded into life. Some of that can be attributed to the downtime on AHN and some to the presence of Shane Clancy, who hopefully is getting a fair turn of business from here to repa...

Some interesting reading there, Chapman et al appear to have some serious errors of methodology in statistical analysis and there are fundamental issues that are not dealt with.. The lack of control and consistency when making claims based on statistics is alarming, the misinterpretation of the resu...

i did mean the downrange energy.. i love the 17hmr, wouldnt change mine for a 22mag, but the heavier bullet might be the ticket for foxes, there is some debate over the 17gr on foxes at range..

i'm tired and full of shit.. buy the HMR

there is no debate that the 22mag will outperform the 17hmr at LONG range, however you have to score a hit at that range, and that is damn near impossible.

I'm suggesting that the 17hmr is the better round, but the 22mag is not completely beaten..

I've got one in stainless (not the carbon) varmint supreme (non-thumbhole) and its a damn fine piece, the only thing smoother that i've seen is the tikka/sako action.

its strong and smooth, its accurate and comfortable. What more could you want.

I've got a 17hmr CZ varmint, I'm thinking that you could go cheap and buy a savage or something, the 17hmr is the perfect small game chambering. Nice flat trajectory and good impact on small game, accurate and the ammo will give you as good or better accuracy than premium WMR ammo, at a better price...

I've used similar ear plugs 'Surefire Ep3 Sonic defenders ' http://www.sordaustralia.com/sfearpro.htm and they retail for about $34 AUD but have found that they distort normal hearing a fair bit. They are defindently better then just plain earplugs though. The electonic versions that are availble a...

I'd take the F-Class looking one for a varmint rifle in 22-250 or 243,
its too heavy to be worth the weight for the 204 (what with the little
hole and all)

I'll bet that they get heaps of takers and re-run the build again and
then never stop.

the trigger on my Howa is wonderful, I could have got an unusually good one, and your one could be particularly poor.

I like the action (safety is stiff on mine), those stocks are horrible tho

thats frightening accuracy isn't it? For what it costs if you could rely on repeatable efforts in getting that out of your given action, you'd be hard
pushed to beat it
