Sir, you misunderstand me. I'm not a fan, I think its too much powder and noise for what is little more performance (for our task) than the 6BR or a number of other rounds. BUT I do think that for those americans with their 600+yard varminting, the heavier projectiles and all.. I can see what people...

I think the 243 is a much underrated varmint chambering in some circles, in others of course we know better. If he every does reload there is a huge amount of good brass to choose from and he could quite happily and safely take pigs with the 243 (from what I understand - only pigs I've ever seen are...

and most people seem to find them line ball accuracy wise with the remington premier/premium accutip loads, I found them to kick a little harder and to shoot a little better (bugger all in it) BUT I do recall something about them being harder on reloading dies.. If you search around, someone might b...

I was wondering about the > 1k, I was thinking 'shit, buy 2 or 3' but my answer was going to be 'I like the look of a kimber in the profesional varminter' but that would be an expensive rifle i suspect. Under 1k, well the tikka is always rated well by owners, but that doesn't say much, I liked the f...

Why are clubs setup to benefit members and further the sport and then filled with wankers.. anyone that isn't there for the sport of it, or the fun is ruining it for everyone else, because in the end it will become a sport for those with more money to spend.. that sucks because people like varmint s...

Re: .223 vs 6mm BR

what is the recoil like when compared to a .223 (I know the BR will be harder hitting, i'm just not sure HOW much harder :P ) I have shot a .243 in the past - but my memory isn't serving me too well these days. I don't have one, and never fired one, but I think you will find its not much more than ...

Savage Rimfire Model MkII F in 22LR

I'm looking at getting a really cheap 22LR for plinking, the savage comes with the much praised Accutrigger and thus is appealing HPGS has the stainless model listed at $450, I was wondering what people think of the Savage rimfires? And can you think of a dealer that will do me the blued/syn one for...

The only reason for looking at the howa over the CZ is the indestructible stock, because iits likely to cop a flogging as a walk around job

Cheap hardwearing light varmint rifle

http://www.legacysports.com/newproducts/index.htm I think in .204 this could be close to the perfect cheap walkaround varminter for the cash strapped, in the light barrel the .204 would still be quite stiff.. jb747 was saying (iirc) that his 204R was good with a thin profile tube, and that makes se...

Bimbo: NOOOoo the rush to buy must be denied, the PTA could have been extended, or you could have had a new one issued with next to no hassle.. I was going to tell you, I have a Howa with the stock you are talking about and indeed it is good, the stock is a real winner, the only compromise they made...

I've got a CZ 17HMR in the 452 Varmint style, ammo here is a minimum of
$24.95 a box, so I'm using the 22-250 with reloads, its cheaper.

My cz prefers the hornady ammo, which we havent seen here in 3 months! So i'm dying for a brick of HMR ammo and some time to practice with it.

I;ve only been shooting a year or so, I love it. Great pass time, i can load when its too wet to shoot, and shoot when i need to get out of the house, its outdoors - which i dont get from work or study I'm spending more money than i should on it, but i really enjoy it, and my first semi custom shoul...
