Re: Scope choice for LRBR

I have to agree with Jeff. Not only is Nightforce an excellent product that fills it's design intent but the warranty back-up is second to none. Furthemore, the parent company (Lightforce) is Australian owned!!!! Yes that's right - Lightforce USA is a subsidiary of Lightforce Australia. All warrant...

Re: HOWA 1500

Lot of people getting onto the Howa actions as the starting point for a Custom. The Metal is said to be of a much higher quality than the Rem's as the Howa is Jap steel, weather there is any truth to this i dont know? But on the + side for the howa they can be found very cheap 2nd hand and a good st...

Re: Long Range Hunting Equipment, now Videos.

Nice setup AI, similar to what I'm running except I'm using data cards & iPhone as backup. As for the idiots poking there heads into this thread to beat their chests and bleat about hunting skills, fashion a spear from some wood and rundown your game and kill it, that would be impressive, faili...

Re: Long Range Hunting Equipment, now Videos.

Thats one hell of a call the AI, have a talk to any of the Bowmen, deer hunters etc on the Border and see if they know Cliff and tell them he has no hunting skill. Butr im with him on this, you have never posted a Hunt report etc on here that i can remember? As for the Kestral, well you know your se...

Re: Semi/Custom HUNTING rifles

Heaps of options out there mate, a remmy would be a good start then something like a Bell and Carlson ultralight stock, shorten the 308 brl down to about 20" talley ultra light rings and a modest scope like a 2-7x33 your old boy will have a "semi custom" light weight hunting rifle, if...

Re: another scope question......

Couldnt agree more! So if you had the choice, NF BR 8-32x56, NXS 3.5-15x56 or perhaps a Sightron 6-24x50? Without a doubt the pic of that bunch for your intended use would be the Night Force BR. I cant belive after owning a Sightron SIII 6-24X50 that people are trying to put them in the same class ...

Re: Scope for 30-06

Im in love with Trijicon scopes, they provide realy good eye relife clear glass and the reticles have to be seen to be belived, they are fast to get into action and brilliant in low light. Not cheap though. If you are after a good scope on the cheap i have a Sightron SI 3-9x40 that is 6 rounds old. ...
